I am new to this site and thus am not sure if this is the best place to post questions. However, I will be teaching a Recreational Resource Management class (FOR 251) this spring and am looking for content ideas and suggestions. The course serves as an overview of recreational resource management and as such examines planning and management of natural and cultural resources for long-term resource productivity.

What topics and key concepts do you consider critical for students who are considering entering the field of recreation? Also, when you think back to recreation courses that you may have taken, what projects/assignments were especially meaningful?

I would really like to design a course that blends relevant theory with practical application.  Any thoughts, suggestions or insights would be vey much appreciated!!! Thank you!
